Sedly Bloomfield

Sedly Bloomfield is a Brooklyn-born actor, acting coach, and writer whose work spans television, film, theatre, and voice.

Sedly's training is deliberately wide-ranging: a three-year intensive at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute; Juilliard's Edge of Performance Intensive; Lucid Body with Fay Simpson; advanced technique with Lloyd Richards; master-class work with Tom Todoroff; audition training at Margie Haber Studio; and improvisation at Second City and Magnet Theater. This broad foundation allows him to move freely between inner-life work, physical embodiment, text, spontaneity, and the demands of the camera.

He brings observational precision and lived experience to every role. His work is defined by grounded authority, understated warmth, emotional accessibility, and the quiet inner life beneath the words.

Television audiences have seen him as Moses in Godfather of Harlem, Joel Spurlock in Luke Cage, Major Harris in Wu-Tang: An American Saga, Benjamin Truitt in Sistas, and in projects including Manifest and The Chair Company.

On stage, Sedly's work includes Fences, Othello, A Soldier's Play, Driving Miss Daisy, and Of Mice and Men. As a coach and writer, he continues exploring the connection between craft, presence, imagination, and the lived truth of human behavior.
